Proper Setrab Cooling
"Works very well and keeps things cool. I have this paired with an AMS FMIC and CSF Radiator. It's a tight fit but it does work, even with the largest FMIC on the market."
The TR-ES2046 TR Engine Oil Cooler Kit is designed for the 2022+ Subaru WRX FA24F VB and features a 16-row Setrab oil cooler for high-performance cooling. Positioned in the upper grille, the cooler reduces oil temperature by up to 25°F/4°C. The kit includes all necessary components for installation, such as mounting brackets, hoses, and a thermostatic sandwich plate, which regulates oil flow at 180°F for optimal performance.
It retains the OEM cooler and increases oil capacity by 0.3 quarts. The kit is durable, with braided nylon hoses and includes sensor ports for easy monitoring. This oil cooler kit is perfect for both daily drivers and performance enthusiasts. Its thermostatic sandwich plate ensures optimal oil temperatures even in cold climates, providing faster warm-up times while still maintaining excellent cooling performance during high-demand situations.
With its durable construction and race-proven reliability, this kit offers both increased performance and peace of mind. The easy installation, with all necessary hardware included, makes it a convenient upgrade for Subaru WRX owners looking to enhance engine longevity and efficiency, particularly during aggressive driving or track use.

"Works great managed to maintain oil temperature in a good range at my last track event. Installation was pretty straight forward. However the sandwich plate makes the oil filter sit too high where it is making contact with the water drain for the hood scoop. If it’s recommended to run an alternative oil filter that should be noted."
"Easy to install tooked 30mins on the oil cooler and 15mins for the front bumper. I did prep it before installing, good customer service as well. Thanks Alberto! Initial impression quality parts, Setrab :u1F90C|type_3:. Driving from cypress to chatsworth on the 405 fwy, traffic and it’s 90plus degrees usually my vbs temp at 227-234 now it’s under 210. I’ll say it works, buy it guys!"
"Hoses and thermostatic plate fit well together without any issues. I had a small issues with the bracket not being a perfect fit and was sent extra parts to make it fit better. During installation I stripped the npt port plugs. don’t know what material they are made of but be very gentle screwing them in the plate. Do not force them or you will easily strip them. I ended up ordering steel ones from amazon and they worked well. Routing the hoses took me some time to figure out because the installation instructions didn’t really mention how to route them. I ended up routing the lines on the side of the radiator/condenser and it worked out nicely. Installation instructions could be better, but there are youtube videos of the installation so I recommend watching them before the installation. As for temps while daily driving my temps are around 190F-200F. When tracking the car and doing 4 sessions of HPDE the max temp was 217F. The oil cooler works very well."
